qBITTORRENT: torrenting client without any gross adware
JDOWNLOADER: cool download manager program, makes DDLs way easier
OPEN VIDEO DOWNLOADER: locally running youtube-dl with a nice gui
COBALT TOOLS: very good youtube-dl frontend!
CALIBRE: open-source program for reading and sorting .epub and other ebook files
LUCKY PATCHER: great tool for modding .apk files and getting free IAP/ad removal
UNIVERSAL CYRILLIC DECODER: chances are you will download something from a russian site and the encoding in the .txt files will be super fucked. you can try putting it through here to turn it normal for easier translation

lucida: formerly doubledouble. downloads from several popular music streaming websites in great quality, with metadata!
spotifydown: downloads from spotify in 320kbps. allegedly you can get flagged by spotify for using it so search in incognito and remove the ?si= tracking thing at the end of the link
slider.kz: search for songs and download them. more of a plan b type website but pretty good
firehawk52: very comprehensive music ripping guide
squid.wtf: downloads from deezer in FLAC
mp3.pm: this is a mixed bag, but its saved my life a few times. treat it as a last resort. tread lightly and keep your adblocker on
